Problem Definition: Queensland’s Compulsory Third-Party (CTP) Insurance Scheme provides a mechanism for persons injured as result of motor vehicle accident to receive compensation. Managing CTP claims involves multiple stakeholders with potentially conflicting interests. It is therefore pertinent investigate whether ‘best practice’ processing can be identified and measured so all claimants fair equitable treatment. The project set out test the applicability mixed-method approach identify ‘best-practice’ using qualitative, process mining, data mining techniques in an insurance domain. Relevance: Existing approaches typically from literature or surveys practitioners. study insights into alternative, deriving best practice historical domain knowledge. Methodology: reflective analysis gained practical application determine practice’. Results: has number benefits over traditional uncovering behavior real-world context (i.e., differences between high low performing cases). also highlights challenges regards quality detail that needs available perform analysis. Managerial Implications: ‘lessons learned’ this will directly benefit others seeking implement data-driven understand their own organization.
